From Risk to Resilience: Health Realization

چکیده
Research on the topic of resilience and potentially beneficial applications within the schools is minimal. With the characteristic of resilience being more accurately understood as a more commonly carried trait rather than being something of a phenomenon, school professionals may consider a strengths-based, resilience framework when dealing with the array of perceived “problems” that can present within the school context. Research on resilience in the schools has suggested that school personnel can provide caring and supportive relationships, high expectations, and afford students opportunities to succeed as means of promoting resilient capacities that exist within every individual from this developmental perspective. These factors can foster awareness of individual resilience in the school context at any age, and these effects have the potential to stimulate further resilience and an enhanced sense of self, purpose, and problem solving skills during future stages of development. While these principles could contain helpful ideas for school professionals striving to address the complex needs of today’s students,

Risk assessment of resilience engineering level and integrated resilience engineering with safety, health and environment of hospitals (case study: two selected hospitals of Faraja in 1400)
Introduction: By evaluating the level of resilience engineering and resilience engineering combined with safety, health, and environment, the priorities of medical centers to face crises are determined. Therefore, this study aimed to implement a risk assessment model with a checklist designed in a fuzzy environment. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study, in 2014, in two Faraja hosp...

Abstract Background and Objective: The main index in resilience engineering is the management commitment index. In this study, a semi-quantitative risk assessment method based on the fuzzy hierarchical analysis method for management commitment index was implemented in evaluating the resilience level of two selected hospitals. Materials and methods: At first, evaluation tools including a 17-qu...

متن کاملWhat Is Resilience and How Can It Be Nurtured? A Systematic Review of Empirical Literature on Organizational Resilience
Background Recent health system shocks such as the Ebola outbreak of 2014–2016 and the global financial crisis of 2008 have generated global health interest in the concept of resilience. The concept is however not new, and has been applied to other sectors for a longer period of time. We conducted a review of empirical literature from both the health and other sectors to synthesize evidence on ...
